Why The Rising of The Shield Hero?

Here I will tell you why you should watch this anime series and why you should wait for The Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2.

“The Rising of The Shield Hero” is a top-rated series in Japan and amongst anime lovers. It is not only famous for its TV series. It has been recognized for a long time because of the light novel and Manga ( Comic/Graphic Novel issued in Japan). Now the popularity of The Rising of The Shield Hero and The Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2 has increased in India as well.

The web novel “The Rising of The Shield Hero” was first published in 2012, and it ran till 2015. The light novel “The Rising of The Shield Hero” was published in 2013, and it is still running and publishing in Japan. If we talk about Manga: The Rising of The Shield Hero, it was published in 2014, and it is still running.

In the start, The Rising of The Shield Hero seems like a very straightforward story. An introverted protagonist was visiting a library where he finds a book and dragged into the world of that book where he met with three other heroes. They’ll have to fight a “Wave” of monsters. All heroes have different weapons; hence they all have different abilities. There is a Sword Hero, Spear Hero, Bow Hero, and Shield Hero.

But all the Heroes do not work together. They make their own different teams that heroes lead, and they all work individually with their respective team members. The most exciting part of this SeriesSeries is that the Shield Hero is the most hated. Everybody hates him because he possesses only a shield and no other weapon. Hence, everybody thinks that the Shield Hero is not worthy of being called a Hero.

The Rising of The Shield Hero Explained :

At the starting of the SeriesSeries, we see that Shield Hero is standing with a girl with a tail. Maybe she’s half raccoon and half-human. And then, we see that our main protagonist is playing a video game. After that, he goes to a library to read different stories. There he finds the story of the Shield Hero, and then we transit directly to the story where our main protagonist is himself is the Shield Hero. This means our main protagonist imagines himself in the story. And the story of the Shield Hero is the story of 4 different heroes: Sword hero, Spear Hero, Bow Hero, and Shield Hero. 

But the story mainly focuses on the Shield Hero as it is in the name of this SeriesSeries.

They all are Heroes from different dimensions and from other timelines, which have been called there to fight a wave. And the arrival of the wave could be forecasted through a watch glass. And then they all form their different teams, and many people join them, but no one comes to join Shield Hero but a beautiful girl. That girl is a princess.

And heroes go for their training, and in training, they all got to raise their levels to become more skilled and powerful. And to raise their level, they have to kill some monsters and collect their pieces. And by inserting the codes or information of the monsters they have killed in their weapons (Sword, Spear, Bow, and Shield), they will upgrade their weapon and skills.

And after completing the training, when Shield Hero goes to his room to rest, some soldiers suddenly come into his room and take him out. And here we get to know that Shield Hero is being accused of misbehaving with the princess. And some torn clothes of the princess were also found from his room. But only we know that Shield Hero is innocent and has not done anything. And then everyone starts hating Shield Hero. Now Shield Hero is all alone and practicing on his own. After suffering a lot and working hard, Shield Hero has now earned some revenue for himself.

With the passing time, Shield Hero has now understood that his core strength is just defense only. He needs someone trustworthy for offensive attacks. Then he buys himself a slave, where he finds a small girl whose health is not that good, but Shield Hero is good with herbs, so he purchases that small girl and starts training her to be his partner with fighting monsters. Ans, after fighting some monsters, their level upgrades pretty well.

Then there comes a wave of monsters who attacks a village, and all the heroes come together to fight monsters and save the villagers. All other heroes are fighting together with the boss here. Shield Hero is single-handedly defending all the villagers from the wave.

And of course, our heroes won that battle, but after that battle, Spear Hero challenges Shield Hero for a duel because Shield Hero uses a slave. Then they both fight where Spear Hero seems to have the upper hand over Shield hero, but then Shield Hero uses some hidden shield abilities. He almost successfully defeats Spear Hero until the princess interferes, and Shield Hero loses that duel.

At Crunchyroll’s 2020 virtual expo, the announcement was made that The Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2 will release somewhere in 2022. But, there is no confirmed date yet to release The Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2. Still, many strong speculations that The Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2 will release in April 2022. And once more, this release date is not officially confirmed yet, and it is just speculation.
