Stargirl will entertain you with dynamic storyline

If you enjoy relaxing while watching TV, you’re probably always on the lookout for a new show to binge-watch. The right show needs to be entertaining and dramatic to hold your attention, so you want a show that has a dynamic storyline.

You also need to find a show with a great cast and plenty of episodes to keep you busy. The CW series ‘Stargirl’ meets all of these criteria. Here’s why ‘Stargirl’ should be the next series you add to your must-watch list.

The Storyline : Great tribute to a father

‘Stargirl’ is based on a comic book series by the same name. Created by the talented Geoff Johns, the series follows the journey of high school student Courtney Whitmore as she accidentally discovers the Cosmic Staff of Starman, which previously belonged to her late father.

She learns that her father died when the Justice Society of America was nearly wiped out by the Injustice Society of America. The sole survivor of the JSA is Starman’s sidekick, who happens to be Courtney’s stepfather Pat Dugan.

Pat helps Courtney rebuild the JSA with a new team of teenage superheroes. Just like the original comic book series, the TV show explores the interesting trope of teenagers coming into their own as superheroes. While most superhero stories feature adult characters as the stars.

this series turns that trope on its head. The adults are the sidekicks and play supporting characters to the teenage stars. Because of this, ‘Stargirl’ highlights the delicate balance between teenagers navigating normal coming-of-age trials with saving America from the ISA.

Stargirl : The Cast

Because ‘Stargirl’ follows teenage characters as the main leads, most of the cast members are young and relatively unknown. However, they still bring incredible dimensions to the characters they portray. Every member of the cast adds layers to the characters he or she plays, bringing these people to life.

The cast is rounded out with well-known names such as Luke Wilson and Amy Smart to balance out the new faces. Brec Bassinger leads the cast as Stargirl and truly embraces the struggle her character has in balancing everyday life with being a teenage superhero.
