The honest and stellar performance of Manoj Bajpayee makes this series a must-watch. The second season of this incredible and refreshing series has released on Amazon Prime on 4th June 2021 after a long wait since the first season was released in 2019. The show was deled for quite some time because of the public backlash faced by Tandav, another Amazon Prime series. After that backlash, the makers decided to delay the second season of The Family Man and decided to make a few changes in the series to avoid public backlash. Now when the series has finally released public is showering its love towards it and loving the second season of The Family Man.
The Family Man Season 2 is the only second season of an Indian web series that is genuinely as good as the first season, even better than it. The Family Man Season 2 Summary :

The Family Man Season 2 picks up a few years before the events of Season 1, in Shri Lanka, where we can see a Rebel camp who are up to something but then The Shri Lankan army attacked their camp, causing the three most important part of that camp to run for their life, and settle in London. Some of the rebels also succeed to escape, and then they got to settle in South India.
Then we see Shrikant Tiwari working in an I.T. firm – Cache Me, doing a 9-5 job there and leading an everyday life. Giving proper time to his children – Atharva and Dhriti, and his wife, but she is still not happy with Shrikant, but the reason for her not being happy is still unknown. Shrikant is just pretending to be satisfied with his 9-5 job but, deep inside, missing his old job with TASC.
Shri Lanka is about to make a deal with China to make a new port there, but Indian Prime Minister (PM) – Basu wants India to have this deal to keep China out of the Indian Ocean, but to give this deal to India Shri Lankan PM wats a favour in return. Bhaskaran, a member of the rebel group in Shri Lanka who escaped from the Rebel camp earlier, his brother – Subbu is in Chennai, Shri Lanka wants India to hand over Subbu to them, which Indian PM accepts.
They appoint TASC for this job, and Shrikant’s co-worker and his dear friend J.K. Talpade has to go to China for this rescue operation. Shrikant, whose mind and heart is still with TASC, wants J.K. to land every piece of information about this operation. Then J.K. tells Shri that he is having FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), Shri even helps them solve this situation. And just before Indian officials were about to take Subbu to court, he got murdered in a bomb blast. And now Bhaskaran thinks that India has killed his brother, but he was killed by Major Sameer – a former ISI agent, and Sajid, who we saw in the previous season.
Then Bhaskaran join hands with Major Sameer to plan an attack on the Indian PM, and they name this mission – Mission Julfikar 2.0. Now, will TASC and Shrikant be able to stop this attack? It is the main plot of this season. And in the end, we also get to see a hint for a Season 3 of this series, which will be related to China planning an attack on India.
The Family Man Season 2 Review :

The Family Man Season 2 delivers exactly what it promised. This series has totally lived up to its expectations and delivers a product which was expected from it. The second season is as good as the first one or even better. That totally depends on you. I personally liked the second season as much as I liked the first one.
It is one of those rare web series whose second season was a let-down after the super successful season one, shows like Sacred Games or Mirzapur, whose first season was super-duper successful, but in the second season, they messed up the story, which just ruined the magic created by the first season. But that is not the case with The Family Man.
There are many things that remain almost the same as the first season, which helps this season a significant time to recreate its magic, such as the pitch at which the first season was set. The humour, The first season of The Family Man, was highly hilarious, which remains constant in this season.
If you enjoyed the ultimate chase sequence in the first season, then wait for the Shrikant’s 9-5 job in the second season, this part of The Family Man Season 2 is entirely hilarious to watch. So, from my point of view, The Family Man Season 2 is not much changed from season 1. The constant struggle of Shrikant as an ordinary person while missing his old job is very beautifully showcased in this show.
Now Let’s Talk About The Performances Of The Cast Of This Show :

Everybody and literally everybody in the big ensemble cast has done an outstanding job and appreciated job. All the supporting cast of this show really puts forward a genuine performance, be it Atharva and Dhrithi, Shirkant’s children or his colleagues from work. Everybody just impresses in their given roles. Especially the child actors and Sharib Hashmi.
Sharib Hashmi is indeed an excellent actor, and in this show, he proves it once again. Sunny Hinduja, whom we have seen earlier in shows like Chacha Vidhayak Hai Humare and TVF’s Aspirants, has impressed us once again as Milind in this show. And believe me, I didn’t notice him much in the previous season, but in this season, he makes his presence felt. And now talking about the show stealers of the show, Samantha and Manoj Bajpayee.
Samantha as Raji, a Tamil rebel who is going to lead the attack on India, puts a stellar performance. She perfectly fits the role, and I don’t think that there would be anyone who could have played this role better than her. But the only complaint I have about her character is her black powdered face, which feels a bit odd while watching her, but apart from that, we could clearly see how much hard work she has done for this role. For me, Samantha is the perfect cast for Raji.
And Manoj Bajpayee is just Manoj Bajpayee. He is the charm of this show, and he makes this show shine like a diamond. Manoj Bajpayee is undoubtedly one of the best actors of this nation, and he is a gem of an actor. He gives the character of Shrikant a new life and makes him more relatable as a common man. The way he reacts to his family and how he manages his secret identity and daily life is just so enjoyable to see. The Family Man – Season 1 made Manoj Bajpayee a nationwide star and made him more famous. Now I do believe that The Family Man Season 2 is going to add some more starts to his Stardom.
Final Words : My Opinion to watch it or not !

My final words for this show would be that it is a very fantastic and Excellent show and probably the only show which delivers us the same magic, the same humour, the same thrill, the same excitement as the first one. You should definitely watch this show. This show is highly recommended by me and trust me that you will not be disappointed by this show. And if you have not even watched the first season, then bro, how are you even surviving this pandemic. This show is just the perfect and the only good thing which happened in this pandemic. I will recommend you to go and binge-watch both the seasons. This is worth to watch.
