The last release to make it to my list of best sports movie of all time is Breaking Away. It is a story of four friends just out of high school unfocused, unmotivated, and not knowing what to do with life; we all once were or are, right? They are from Bloomington, Indiana, where two factions fiercely hate each other.

They are the cutters around the limestone quarry and the working class across town who also attend university. Dave, one of them, though, is fascinated by the Italian racing team so much to the extent that he imitates being one of them. He also falls for a girl from the other side of town by the name of Katherine.

But what happens after that? Does his life change? Does he eventually have a purpose with his life, and does it change? I would recommend you watch this movie and help me rate it. What is My Final Take?

Where there is a will, there is a way; you believe that? Well, at least Charles Howard does. As he tries to rebuild his life, he holds onto a dream of horse racing through these bad times, ending up with a team of dreaming underdogs, just like him.

One of them is Seabiscuit, the horse that he will use, and Red, an angry young man on and off the track. The movie basically aims at keeping the dreams of common men alive no matter what they are going through. This is reason enough for me to include it into my list of best sports movies of all time.

It is also a movie about the history of horse racing. It was released on July 25, 2003.

This is also marked as best sports movie as per IMDB.

A black man is appointed head coach of the football team, which sees great success come their way. It is not a walk in the park for them, though, as they have overcome various racial abuses and discriminations at various points.

Ari arguably, this is the best sports movie of all time, at least in my opinion. Thomas Carter, or rather ken ‘coach’ Carter, accepts to become the basketball coach of his former high school in the poorer area of Richmond. He faces a lot of criticism and resistance, especially due to his strict rules applied to all, including his son, or you will be eliminated from his team.

At a certain time, he benches all his squad for breaking an academic agreement with him. Samuel Jackson played the role of coach Carter.Nonetheless, this is a good movie, especially for the teens, as it encourages an all-around individual’s hard work, honesty, and growth. It ran for 2h and 19 min and was first released on January 14, 2005.

Released first in 1980, this movie saw great success across the world. It has an estimated budget of $18,000,000 at the box office and runs for 2h 9mins.
